Red Light Cameras Cut Down on Crashes

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- Red light cameras have raised more than a million dollars for one local city.

The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reports the cameras have cut down on the number of crashes at some intersections. In 2008, there were 72 side-impact crashes, and 64 last year.

The cameras were installed two years ago. So far, more than 10,000 tickets have been issued.
