Vandy's Ezeli Named SEC Player Of Week

(AP) NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Vanderbilt center Festus Ezeli has been named the Southeastern Conference's player of the week. He is the Commodores' third player to win the award this season. 

Ezeli won the award announced by the SEC on Monday after averaging 19 points and 6 1/2 rebounds in wins over Western Kentucky and Belmont. He had a career-high 24 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Belmont, his second career double-double. 

Brad Tinsley and John Jenkins also have won the weekly award for Vanderbilt this season.   

The SEC also named Tobias Harris of Tennessee as the freshman of the week. He scored a game-high 21 points in a win over Middle Tennessee.
