Metro Schools Closed Monday


NASHVILLE, Tenn.-Children all over Nashville and Middle Tennessee are happy to learn that school is canceled. Metro Davidson County schools made the call to close schools around 7:00 Sunday evening.

Snowfall throughout the day and into the evening Sunday caused many roads to be impassable and made driving conditions quite treacherous.

Some roadways will become impassable by late Sunday night with wind chills dropping as low as zero degrees.

The winter storm warning remains in effect until 6 A.M. Monday with frigid and blustery conditions Sunday night.

Accumulations of two to four inches of snow is expected by Monday morning. Slick roads will develop as temperatures plummet into the 20 degree range.

With temperatures plummeting into the teens overnight, officials advise drivers to allow for extra time in their morning commute.
