Nashville Med Center To Get Development Center

Posted:

(AP) NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A global business development center has been announced for the Nashville Medical Trade Center opening in 2013.

A news release from the med center said the 5,000-square-foot development center will be the first permanent service center of its kind in the United States.

The med center is a 1.5 million-square-foot health care marketplace that unifies for the first time permanent showrooms, temporary exhibition space and education and training facilities.

It is being promoted as a comprehensive global marketplace for health care products, solutions, services and education.

Up to 2,700 jobs could be created by the med center, which is to be a 12-story structure at the site of the current convention center being replaced by a new one elsewhere.
