Shoplifter Steals Diamonds From Green Hills Jewelry Store

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police said a shoplifter made off with thousands of dollars worth of diamonds from a Green Hills jewelry store.

Police said a man asked to see some jewelry at Genesis Diamonds in Green Hills around 7 p.m. Thursday. That's when he grabbed the diamonds and ran out of the store.

Police said he appeared to be heading back toward downtown Nashville on 21st Avenue.

There's no word on the value of the stolen items.

Police are still investigating.
