NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Crime Stoppers hopes a call from you will help them solve a series of robberies in North Nashville.

The armed robberies were caught on tape. No one was hurt, but police are worried someone will if the hold-ups continue.

Police are looking at least two robberies that appear to be connected. The Dollar General Store at 3852 Dickerson Pike and the Shell Station at 1331 Briarville Road were both robbed on January 23.

Both holdups were captured by video surveillance cameras.

"And from the video you can see that at least one of the suspects were in both stores when the robberies occurred," said Dean Haney with the Metro Police Department.

Police said a man walked to the back of the Dollar General around 6:30 p.m. and pulled a gun on an employee, demanding money from the safe.

When the employee told him they didn't have access to the safe, he escorted the employee to the front of the store where he tried to rob both cashiers, and then robbed customers who were standing in line.

"You would think someone would have seen someone going to a car, getting out of a car or something to that effect.  Maybe seeing someone speed away real fast," added Haney.

Twelve minutes later, the Shell Station was robbed. The robber demanded money from the safe, but employees could not open it so he settled for taking cash from the register.

He was last seen crossing South Graycroft Avenue.

If someone knows these people or has a good idea who they are they can call Crime Stoppers.  It's anonymous," Haney said. "We don't want to know who you are. All we want to know is who these people are so we can get them identified."

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Any information that leads to an arrest could be worth up to $1,000.
