Police, Fire Officials Investigate Deadly Tullahoma Fire

Posted:

TULLAHOMA, Tenn. - The Tullahoma Police Department is working with the State Fire Marshal's Office to investigate the death of 55-year-old Junior Clay Taylor.

Tullahoma firefighters found his body in a burning home on East Lincoln Street late Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters also recognized that things weren't quite right and reported the condition of the residence and the victim to the police department.

Agents from Columbia and Murfreesboro also worked to help Tullahoma investigators.

During the investigation, the Tennessee Highway Patrol contacted detectives with information that might be related to what was going on.

While investigators are talking to family, friends and neighbors, they're also waiting on the preliminary report from the state medical examiner as to the cause of death.
