Funeral Services Set For MTSU Player Killed

(AP) MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Funeral services for a Middle Tennessee State Lady Raider basketball player have been set for Saturday in Memphis.

Clantina Stewart's family will hold visitation on Friday from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at NJ Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Memphis, with a funeral at 1 p.m. Saturday at Soul Winners Church in Memphis.

Stewart, a 21-year-old junior guard, died Wednesday in her apartment in Murfreesboro. Her roommate, 18-year-old Shanterrica Madden, has been charged in the death. Madden's attorney, Joe Brandon, has said the stabbing was self-defense.

The Blue Raiders took the court Sunday for warmups in black T-shirts with "20gether" on the front and "Stewart" on the back of each. They also each wore purple hair ribbons because that was Stewart's favorite color.
