(AP) NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Vanderbilt Commodores are heading to the NCAA tournament. The Commodores (23-10) have been seeded fifth in the Southwest Region. 

They will play No. 12 seed Richmond on Thursday in Denver. 

Vanderbilt lost its last two NCAA tournament games when seeded fourth. The Commodores already are a popular pick as one of the teams from a BCS league to go down in the first round yet again.
