The Lady Commodores learned Monday night they are seeded 10th and will play No. 7 seed Louisville on Sunday in Cincinnati as part of the Spokane Region.
It's their 12th straight NCAA berth and 24th overall.
Vanderbilt reached the second round a year ago before losing 63-62 to host Xavier in Cincinnati. Now the Commodores must beat Louisville (20-12) to have a chance to set up a rematch against coach Melanie Balcomb's former team.
The Commodores (20-11) have won at least one game in the past 11 NCAA tournaments and are among only five teams to do that including Connecticut, Duke, LSU and Stanford. Vanderbilt has reached the regional semifinal six of the past 10 years.
