Legwand Helps Predators Past Oilers 3-1

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - David Legwand scored a goal and added an assist as the Nashville Predators beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Martin Erat, Patric Hornqvist also scored for Nashville, which has won four straight.

Jordan Eberle scored for Edmonton, which has dropped seven in a row.

The Predators pelted Devan Dubnyk with 15 shots in the first period while holding Edmonton to five shots on goal.

Nashville opened the scoring at 4:08 when Joel Ward, on the left side, pulled Dubnyk out of position and hit Erat with a pass as he skated down the right side. Erat easily put the puck in the open side of the net with a wrist shot from close range.
