KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Volunteers know it will take time to adjust to their new coach, Cuonzo Martin. Things are off to a good start so far, though.
The players have been meeting with Martin individually since he was hired March 27 and going through workouts with him. They said they appreciate his background and his frank communication style.
The workouts might be the first thing that take a little bit of adjustment, though. Kenny Hall, Cameron Tatum and Skylar McBee each said Tuesday that Martin's workouts were much more up-tempo and intense than they were expecting.
Each player thinks those kind of workouts will help move Tennessee in the right direction, though.
Martin announced Tuesday that he hired Nebraska's Tracy Webster as an assistant.
