(AP) NASHVILLE, Tenn. - New state vehicles are hitting the road to help rural areas get job training.
Three "career coaches" were customized with 10 computer work stations, printers, fax machines and flat screen TVs for classroom instruction.
The vehicles also will offer career counseling. They will be based in Huntingdon, Nashville and Knoxville in order to cover all areas of the state.
Each unit will be staffed with state employees trained in career counseling and jobless benefits. They will conduct workshops in resume preparation, job search skills and interviewing suggestions.
A secondary function of the vehicles will be as mobile command centers during natural disasters.
