NASHVILLE, Tenn. - James Franklin has been on the job as Vanderbilt football coach for four months and he got his picture on the wall on Tuesday.
The coach's likeness is now on the side of the storefront off West End, just in time for this weekend's Black & Gold game. Artist Michael Cooper has been painting it since 1992 with murals of Vandy coaches.
Franklin becomes the third football coach to go on the wall in just the past year. And the new coach is a little shy about having his "mug" as the face of the program.
Franklin was added to the mural through the generosity of Vanderbilt's flagship radio station, Classic Hits 97.1 WRQQ.
