MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - An MTSU student is recovering after nearly being killed by a careless driver. Kenneth Sharber, an avid cyclist, was hit while riding down a busy Murfreesboro intersection on Wednesday afternoon.
Thankfully he's doing a lot better, but he does have a number of serious injuries including a skull fracture.
The driver of the truck that hit him sped off, now investigators are on the hunt and Sharber along with his family are wondering why the driver didn't stop.
"This guy knew that he hit me and it shows like a complete disregard for my life or anybody," Sharber told NewsChannel 5.
The whole accident happened so fast, witnesses didn't get much of a description on the truck that sped off. They said it was a black pick-up, but it will have a bit of damage on the rear end where Sharber was hit.
If caught, the driver could face charges for leaving the scene of an accident.
