(AP) NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee Adjutant General Max Haston said an East Tennessee workshop is aimed at helping guard members, reservists and veterans find jobs or better jobs.
The event runs Tuesday through Thursday at the McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base in Alcoa. Seminars will include effective ways to look for jobs, dressing for the interview and preparing resumes.
Haston said many Tennessee members of the military returned from deployment to Iraq or Afghanistan to find their civilian employers were no longer in business.
The final day will be a job fair with up to 15 employers talking to participants.
The workshop is open to all veterans and spouses and is free. The event will be the 11th conducted by the Employer Support for Guard Reserve organization.
