NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Hundreds of Predators fans arrived at Bridgestone Arena Thursday morning for a chance to buy $10 tickets to Game 4 of the Western conference semifinals.
Predators' officials said it was their way of opening up the chance for more people to get tickets.
The box office held a raffle at 9 a.m. Thursday, and names were drawn at 9:45 a.m.
The winners were able to purchase up to four upper-bowl playoff tickets for just $10. There was a limit of 100 tickets for the promotion. Thirty names were called and only 25 people will be guaranteed tickets.
The new system came through with mixed reviews.
"I like it because I don't have to camp out like these young people do, and I think it's a fair way," said fan Laurence Wallis.
"If you're the first 25, you were guaranteed a seat - that was a previous time. Now you're not guaranteed a seat. You can come at 9:45 a.m. and still get a seat," said fan Billy Rubenstein.
The Nashville Predators will play against the Vancouver Canucks Thursday at Bridgestone at 7:30 p.m.
Officials said individual tickets are available for all possible second-round games and can be purchased at www.nashvillepredators.com or by calling 615-770-PUCK (7825). Ticket prices start at $32 per game.
