The Key Alliance's 5k run for the homeless
NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Hundreds of people ran Nashville's streets to raise awareness and money for the people living on them. It was a run for Nashville's homeless Saturday morning.
The Nashville Striders and Nashville Sports Council teamed up with The Key Alliance to make Saturday's 5K both fun and beneficial.
The event shed light on and builds support for The Key Alliance, a group working to make positive changes in the lives of Nashville's homeless population.
"People need to know," said Clifton Harris with The Key Alliance. "The more people that we can make aware of the magnitude of the problem here in our city, the better the chances we have of creating those partnerships and alliances to get people off the streets and into housing."
