HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – The eastbound lanes of Vietnam Veterans Boulevard in Hendersonville have been reopened after a crash involving a Sumner County Sheriff's Deputy.
It happened around 12:50 p.m. near the New Shackle Island Road exit. Police said the deputy was injured in the wreck with another vehicle.
He was transported to the Hendersonville Medical Center in non-critical condition.
The other vehicle involved was a Chevy Venture minivan. Two people were in the vehicle at the time, and they were both transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. One person is in critical condition.
The scene was cleared around 3 p.m. The eastbound lanes were blocked and traffic was being diverted to alternate routes.
