CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. - Cheatham County introduced their new economic business and development plan on Wednesday.
Cheatham Vision is a four-year initiative in which investors will bring in funding to improve the community helping the county create new tourism plans, retail spaces, and even assisted living facilities.
This objective would create 200 new jobs over the next four years, and could increase annual tourism-related spending up to $750,000.
"We needed to find a way to make sure that our community is going to be healthy 20 years from now. So it's really no surprise that everybody has come together, and worked so hard to create this plan, but I can tell you, the excitement is fantastic at this point.
So far, more than $730,000 has been pledged toward the $1.5 million funding goal.
