LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A Congolese refugee living in Lexington says in a federal lawsuit that she was held in servitude by another Congolese refugee. Claudine Chigangu says in the lawsuit that she worked for Sifa Ndusha, typically spending 18 hours a day cooking, cleaning and caring for Ndusha's children.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The University of Louisville is paying a large settlement to a retiring high-ranking official. University counsel Angela Koshewa will get nearly $350,000 - nearly twice her final salary. The separation agreements included clauses barring them from criticizing the university or its leadership.

MANCHESTER, Ky. (AP) - Investigators have released the 911 call made after two turkey hunters were shot in Clay County. Chad Bullock was hunting in the Fogertown community with the two who were hit with a shotgun blast. He told dispatchers he did not know if the person who shot at them saw them clearly. He said he did not know if the shooting was intentional.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Birhanu Tadesee won the Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon yesterday in 2 hours, 17 minutes, 54 seconds. In near-perfect weather, the Washington, D.C., resident won by nearly three minutes over Getachew Asfaw of Silver Spring, Md. Joseph Amenya of Grand Prairie, Texas, was third.
