NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Sunday, hundreds of people showed up for their chance to crank out a new flavor of ice cream.
Purity hosted their Miss Martha's Ice Cream Crankin' event at First Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon. Crankers broke out secret recipes for their own custom ice cream concoctions. Then celebrity judges decided which flavor would be Purity's newest flavor.
Tennessee First Lady Crissy Haslam got in on the fun as a judge.
"I'm a chocolate lover, and there were good chocolate flavors, although I think I may pass on the cicada crunch because it was a little mysterious," said Crissy Haslam.
It's all for a good cause; all the money from Sunday's event goes to the Martha O'Bryan Center.
