NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two key Predators players have signed deals to play elsewhere on the first day of free agency in the NHL.
Joel Ward signed a four-year, $12-million dollar deal with the Washington Capitals. Marcel Goc will head to the Florida Panthers for three years on a $5.1 million deal.
Ward scored 29 points in the regular season but exploded in the playoffs with a team-high seven goals.
Goc missed much of the year due to injury.
Steve Sullivan already knew he wasn't coming back. He signed for one year with Pittsburgh worth $1.5 million.
