NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Seniors Farmers' Market program kicked off Tuesday at a warehouse on Murfreesboro Road.
It's for Davidson County's low income seniors, ages 60 and older, who are currently enrolled in the Commodity Supplemental Food Program.
The program gives them vouchers which are good for fresh fruits and vegetables. The program aims to improve the dietary habits of seniors on a low income.
The event runs through July 8th.
Vouchers can also be redeemed at a number of farmer's markets through July and August:
