CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A motorcyclist has died from his injuries following a crash in Clarksville on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said 21-year-old Joshua Higgs died early Wednesday morning at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

The crash happened around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday. Police said a 2008 Nissan Versa driven by 29-year-old Kimberly McDonald was making a life turn off Man-Of-War Road crossing Tiny Town Road and did not see a motorcycle ridden by Higgs.

Higgs tried to avoid the collision and hit the Nissan near the driver's side front left wheel area. He was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the roadway.

He was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt with injuries to his head and body.

McDonald was wearing a seatbelt and not injured. She was cited for failure to yield.
