SPRING HILL, Tenn. - Homeowners in Maury County had the chance to voice their opposition to a proposed crematorium on Tuesday night.
Dozens of residents showed up at the city's planning commission meeting to share their concerns.
The Spring Hill Memorial Park and Funeral Home wants to build the crematorium on a piece of property, just a few hundred feet away from a neighborhood.
Homeowners said it will harm the environment with noxious gases released when corpses are burned.
But owners of Spring Hill Memorial Park said the emissions are controlled, and they're only trying to meet the needs of the community.
The city's planning commission will vote on this issue Monday night.
