NASHVILLE, Tenn.- It was big surprise Friday night for a group whose career spans nearly 50 years.

The oak Ridge Boys are one of County Music's most country enduring acts, and they were finally invited to become members of the Grand Ol' Opry Friday night.

After the Oaks performed their hit "Y'All Come Back Saloon," 62-year Opry member Jimmy Dickens surprised the group with the announcement.

The group produced several of country's top hits from the seventies and eighties, including Elvira and Mountain Music.

The formal induction  will take place on August 6, 2011.
