Teen Pleads Guilty To Conspiring To Kill Father

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - A Clarksville teenager has admitted he and his sister paid another teenager $200 to kill their father.

Alexander Hart pleaded guilty Thursday morning to conspiracy to commit murder. Other charges against him were retired and he also agreed to testify against his sister, Rebecca Hart, as well as J.P. George, the accused gunman they hired.

Police found Gilbert Hart shot to death in the family's home back in June of 2009. Investigators said Alexander and Rebecca Hart paid George, who was just 15 at the time, to kill him.

Alexander Hart said they did it because their father was "an abusive, alcoholic man."

Rebecca Hart and JP George face trial in August.
