4-Year-Old Among 2 Killed In 4-Car Crash In Lebanon

LEBANON, Tenn. – Two people, including a 4-year-old, were killed and one person critically injured in a four-car crash in Wilson County.

The crash happened at 12:17 p.m. Friday on East High Street near Cedar Street in Lebanon, near the H.G. Hill grocery store.

Officials said a maroon pickup truck was speeding when it hit two passenger cars before driving off the road and slamming into a building. Both cars sustained significant damage.

Two people inside one of the cars were killed, including a 4-year-old boy and the driver, an adult male. One other person inside the car was transported by LifeFlight Medical Helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The other car was pushed into a the back of a city truck. Both drivers were okay.

The female driver of the maroon truck was found unresponsive when police arrived on scene. She was taken to the hospital.

East High Street was closed between Highland Court and Hartsville Pike while investigators processed the scene, but re-opened just before 5 p.m.

Officials said they believed speed and alcohol contributed to the crash. They are still investigating.

The identities of the victims were not yet released pending family notification.
