BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Two teenage cousins, one of them the son of a Paducah television news anchorman, have died in a highway crash just outside of Bowling Green.

Kentucky State Police said a car ran off a curve on a Warren County road and ran into a tree, killing both.

KSP Trooper Jonathan Biven said both occupants were wearing seat belts and speed was a contributing factor in the crash Wednesday morning, according to the Daily News in Bowling Green.

WPSD-TV in Paducah reported those killed were 19-year-old William Mallory of La Center, son of WPSD-TV morning anchorman Mike Mallory, and the driver, 18-year-old Richard Benton Page of Bowling Green.

William Mallory was an honors sophomore at the University of Kentucky.

Page was a Western Kentucky University student.
