NASHVILLE, Tenn.- The Titans say Finnegan walked out of camp Friday night, and skipped Saturday's scrimmage. The Titans coaching staff and front office felt like it was a result of their latest contract talks, and Finnegan's departure caught everyone by surprise. But Finnegan said he's trying to put an end to all this holdout talk.
In a series of 10 tweets Finnegan said in part:
"My absence had nothing to do with a holdout yet a personal matter that Titan officials were aware of. I am grateful for being a Titan."
"I have spoken with coaches and teammates and will resume all things asked. Sad to see media made this to be about money when I'm happy with all that has been given. Forgive me Nashville for media making it seem that way."
"Titans officials were aware of my absence but disappointed I was not there due to personal matters…My absence had nothing to do with contract or holdout. I will resume all activities with team."
