NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Titans are less than three weeks away from the start of the regular season and there is still plenty of work to do.

Tuesday was supposed to be the last official day of Titans training camp but head coach Mike Munchak pulled the plug early to give his team an extra day off.

Munchak likes the fact that he can get his team back on a normal "NFL" schedule a day earlier than expected.

"We are happy with where we are at, but still have a lot to do," said Munchak.

Meanwhile, starting quarterback Matt Hasselbeck was held out of on Monday The titans QB is ok but the team wanted to give him more time recover after being shaken up on a play on Saturday.

In the second quarter, Hasselbeck went down after being hit by a Rams linebacker during a pass to Damian Williams. Hasselbeck had the wind knocked out of him and bit his tongue while falling down.

Also, officials said Chris Johnson's absence has not affected the team. He has not come to training camp or participated in any pre-season games as he holds out for a new contract.
