FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Police have arrested a man in connection with a violent home invasion in which the victim was brutally beaten.

Police arrested 22-year-old Corey Brown late Tuesday night. He was charged with especially aggravated burglary and aggravated assault.

Police said Brown was one of three men who forced their way into a home on South Carothers Parkway and beat the victim on Monday afternoon. Police said one of the suspects discharged a shotgun during the attack, but no one was hit.

Three long guns were recovered from the home where Brown was arrested.

The victim helped identify Brown, a convicted felon, as one of his attackers. Police said it was not a random attack, and the home was targeting by three men who have ties to the victim.

Police are still investigating leads that they hope will lead them to arrest the other two attackers.

Brown was held on a $65,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 30.
