Rutherford County Hopes Tax Breaks Will Bring Jobs

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. - Rutherford County authorities hope some big tax breaks will help lure an anonymous company and hundreds of new jobs to the area.

On Wednesday morning, the County's Industrial Development Board approved two tax break plans hoping to convince the unnamed company to move its operations there.

Officials said the company is a warehousing and distribution operation and is considering locations in Murfreesboro and La Vergne, as well as other spots across the state.

If the company moves its operations to Rutherford County, it would bring with it anywhere from 325 to 1,150 jobs.
