WARREN COUNTY, Tenn. - Bridgestone's Tire Operation is growing even more in Middle Tennessee. The company announced Thursday that it is investing $36.6 million in the Bridgestone truck and bus tire plant in Warren County.
When everything is up and running, it means they'll be able to make an extra 900 tires each day.
It also means 50 new jobs.
"So why are we making this investment? Simply put - so we can be a better supplier to meet our customer's needs. Our vision for Bridgestone is to be the clear leader in the tire industry. And that means we must be the best supplier in the tire industry," said Kurt Danielson with Bridgestone Americas.
Construction should start in the third quarter of 2012, with production beginning in the first quarter of 2013.
On Wednesday, the company announced plans for a $75 million expansion to its site in Clarksville, creating 45 jobs. The company will add 123,000 square feet of space to the plant.
