List Of Stores For Opry Mills Grand Re-Opening In 2012.more>>
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nearly 17 months after the historic flood, there's another sign of progress out at Opry Mills Mall as one of their anchor stores is holding a job fair this week.
The VF Outlet is already looking for a few good workers. The company is hosting a job fair this Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express on McGavock Pike.
The company is looking for full and part-time employees to help get the store ready to open in November.
Regal Cinemas Opry Mills Stadium 20 & IMAX, Dave & Buster's, Sun & Ski Sport and the VF Outlet are scheduled to open on November 23.
The May flood caused more than $200 million in damage, and crews have spent countless hours working to rebuild the mall all while owners dealt with an issue over insurance money.
Officials said construction is one track. At Bass Pro Shops, which is the only store that is open since the 2010 floods, managers said even the four new stores will be a boost for business in this struggling area.
"Especially in the evening in the theater, bring people out a little bit later than normal so our evening business has been a little soft so that will help us out a little bit," said manager Greg Cole.
A grand opening celebration for the entire mall is planned for March 29, 2012. It will include several new additions like J. Crew, Coach and Ann Taylor factory stores.
