School Board Director Announces Retirement

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - After over three decades of service, Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools Director Mike Harris announced Tuesday his plans to retire at the end of this school year.

Harris made the announcement during a board work session.

Harris has spent 36 years in public education, including five years with the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. He has also worked in Williamson County; Guilford County, North Carolina; and Iowa.

The Montgomery County School Board plans to appoint a replacement director before the start of the 2012-2013 school year.
