Nashville Predators Kick Off New Season With 'Preds Fest'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Hockey fans eager to begin the new season are in for a little excitement this weekend. Preds Fest kicks off Friday afternoon.

It's an event all about the fans and goes on all weekend. After last year's historic season when the Predators went to the playoff, fans are already gearing up for another year.

The third annual Preds Fest is expected to rowdy up the crowds.

Many of the he festivities will be held on the plaza just outside Bridgestone Arena. Predators fans should also be on the lookout for staff handing out free merchandise all around town.

Kids who bring their own ice skates will also get the chance to try out the ice inside the arena or attend a youth hockey clinic put on by player Cliff Ronning.

Friday, September 30

  • 12 to 2 pm: Free merchandise given out around town
  • 12 to 2 pm: Gnash at Daily's in Joelton to sign autographs and pump gas
  • 5:30 to 6:30 pm: Kids Club Members skating at Bridgestone Arena
  • 7 to 8 pm: Public Skate

Saturday, October 1

  • 10 am to 1 pm: Bridgestone Arena open house and tour
  • 1 to 3 pm: Youth Hockey Clinic
  • 4:30 to 7 pm: Bridgestone Arena Plaza party
  • 7 pm: Free preseason game vs. Carolina Hurricanes (ticket no longer available)

Sunday, October 2

  • 10 am to 10 pm: High School Hockey Jamboree at Bridgestone Arena, including 12 Greater Nashville Area Scholastic Hockey League games
