Electrolux Expansion Will Bring 75 New Jobs To Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – A groundbreaking was held Monday for the $5 million expansion at the Electrolux facility in Springfield.
The expansion of the cooking manufacturing facility will result in it becoming the company's R&D Center and Purchasing headquarters for cooking products in North America as well as the Global Development Center for electronics for Electrolux Major Appliances worldwide.
It will add approximately 75 new engineering and technical jobs.
The three-story, 21,000 square-foot expansion will add world-class cooking laboratories, and development facilities to the Springfield factory.
A renovation of current office space is expected to be complete by the end of the month.
The expansion is expected to be complete by January 2012.
Robertson County Mayo Howard Bradley along with 18th District Senator Kerry Roberts and other officials were on hand for the event.
