NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Nashville Predators have claimed forward Brian McGrattan off waivers from the Anaheim Ducks.
General manager David Poile announced the deal on Tuesday. McGrattan signed a two-way contract worth $600,000 at the NHL level and $105,000 at the AHL level.
The 6-foot-4, 235-pound native of Hamilton, Ontario, has suited up for 182 NHL contests with Ottawa, Phoenix and Calgary since the 2005-06 campaign, posting 14 points and 395 penalty minutes. He split the 2010-11 season between Providence and Syracuse in the AHL, logging 15 points and 153 penalty minutes in 59 games.
The 30-year-old McGrattan was selected 104th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
