MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - A new court date has been set in a lawsuit filed by opponents trying to stop construction of the Murfreesboro Islamic Center.
The case will be heard November 2 in Rutherford County.
Plaintiffs filed suit after the Islamic center's approval. Chancellor Robert Corlew shot down most of the complaints, and construction on the mosque has already begun.
However, plaintiffs still claim county leaders violated the open meetings act by not giving proper notice when plans for the site were approved.
