NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Big Brothers/Big Sisters is an organization that works hard to bridge the gap, between students and mentors.
As part of its national "Beyond School Walls" program, 16 students from Jere Baxter Elementary school met their new "Bigs" on Wednesday. All of them are volunteers from Comcast of Middle Tennessee.
The big brothers and sisters got the chance to spend some fun time with their "littles."
"What I hope is that other corporations and other individuals will be inspired to get involved. Whether that's with time, talent, treasure, it costs money to support these programs. But it's money well invested," said
The students at Jere Baxter were selected by their teachers. It is a year-long commitment.
