Missing 5-Year-Old Boy Found Safe In Stewart County

DOVER, Tenn. – An endangered child alert has been canceled after 5-year-old Aiden Bennett was found safe in Stewart County.

Sheriff's deputies began searching for the boy after he missing from his home on Link Road in Dover, Tennessee around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

He was playing outside of his home. Investigators said his mother went out to check on him, but he was not in the yard.

Around 10 p.m. officials said Aiden was safely located. Details about where he had been and where he was found were not available.

The Stewart County Sheriff's Office had launched a ground search with K-9 units and ATVs.

A helicopter from the Tennessee Highway Patrol was also being used to search from the air.

The endangered child alert was issued before 10 p.m., just before he was located.
