New Distillery To Open In January In Cannon County

CANNON COUNTY, Tenn. - The state's newest distillery is on track to open in January.

Short Mountain Distillery in Cannon County has now obtained state and federal permits.

The distillery is owned by three brothers, and will produce a Tennessee sour-mash white whiskey.

This is a first in the county after a local law was recently changed allowing licensed distilleries to operate.
