Police Release Surveillance Video In Night Club Murder

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro Police have released video from a shooting in a nightclub that left one man dead earlier this month.

The shooting happened at Bentley's House of Soul in downtown Nashville on October 9th while hundreds of people jammed the dance floor.

A busy night at the club turned into a deadly night after customers near the bar noticed a fight, and then several gun shots rang out as people ran for cover

Metro Nashville Police Detective Denny Ismailovic now leads a murder investigation of 22-year-old Brian Amos who was killed that night at the club. Detective Ismailovic said Amos was shot at very close range.

Police believe there are lots of people who know something about the shooting, but for some reason they won't come forward.

"Probably between ten and twenty people got into a fight and two shots were fired. I mean someone had to have seen something," said Detective Ismailovic.

Detective Ismailovich says just to know who had guns inside the club would help.

"You know maybe the security guards maybe missed the search or someone was bragging inside the club, "Hey look I was able to sneak in with a gun." That would help us as well," he said.

Police said Bentley's House of Blues has given them very little trouble with the investigation.

If you can help them solve this crime call Crime Stoppers at 74-Crime.
