NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Room In The Inn announced a new program Monday that partners with restaurants for their guests to give back to the homeless during the holidays.
It is called "StreetSmart: Helping the Homeless", and will allow restaurant guests to help the homeless by voluntarily adding $1 to their bill, which 100 percent will go to Room In The Inn. The campaign runs from November 1 to December 31.
The participating restaurants include:
- 360 Bistro
- Burger Up
- Cabana
- Chagos
- Cooper's
- Giovanni's
- Mad Platter
- Mambu Restaurant & Bar
- Merchants
- Miel
- Midtown Café
- Sunset Grill
- The Patterson House
Room In The Inn said more restaurants are expected to participate.
"StreetSmart" originated in 1998 in England by William Sieghart, now Chairman of StreetSmart, and Mary-Lou Sturridge, Former Director of The Groucho Club, Hotelier.
Room In The Inn is a nonprofit organization providing a continuum of care for Nashvillians struggling with the short- and long-term effects of homelessness.
