Reverse Career Fair Held Thursday At Lipscomb

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A career fair Thursday in Nashville will have employers roaming from booth to booth in a reverse procedure from most such events.

The fair is at Lipscomb University, and a news release from the school said it's designed to get more students involved and boost interaction with employers.

The private university said major companies such as CAT Financial Services, Dell and Emdeon have signed up to participate.

Each student is required to have resumes and a one-minute presentation with PowerPoint slides describing their professional skills and career goals.

A school spokeswoman said the traditional career fair format does not engage students in a very active way, and this generation is looking for more involvement.
