NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Coach James Franklin has seen enough of the road in the Southeastern Conference that he wants what his opponents have: A very loud home stadium.
Franklin plans to go over situations after his Commodores wound up with their most penalized game this season in a 26-21 loss to Florida last weekend. Franklin said Monday they have to be prepared for the noise and isn't using that as an excuse. Vanderbilt had 12 penalties for 102 yards with a couple coming at key points.
But he says Vanderbilt has to get to the point where the
Commodores get enough fans in their own stadium to enjoy that same advantage on their own turf.
Vanderbilt is 4-2 at home this season going into Saturday's home finale against Kentucky.
