Police Arrest Pair In Deadly Home Invasion

DICKSON, Tenn. – Anthony and Christopher Jella went to their grandparents' house every day after school, but as they played in the front yard Saturday, they knew they'll never spend time with their "Pee-Paw" again.

"I couldn't believe that this is, that this happened to my family," said their mother, Christina Jella, who says even a month later it still doesn't seem real. "I couldn't believe that somebody would do that to my parents, especially my dad."

Police say two masked men broke into her parents' home late last month and shot her father, 47-year-old John Travierso, in front of his 18-year-old son.

Dickson Police arrested James Case and William Forrester. They're both in the Dickson County Jail facing first degree murder charges. They're being held in lieu of $300,000 bond each.

For Jella, the arrests could reveal the identities of the masked men who forced their way inside that night, but it doesn't answer everything.

"I want to know why. I want to know what was so important to take a man's life," she said. "And hopefully I'll get that."

As they wait for answers, the family knows justice will never bring Travierso back, but knowing his killers could be off the street helps each painful day go by a little easier.

"Whatever they get will never be enough, but our family and I believe this community will feel a whole lot safer with them behind bars so that they can never do this to anyone again," Jella said.

Jella says the family has no idea who Case or Forrester are, and still believes the home invasion was completely random.

They believe there still could be people who were too scared to come forward before the arrests. If you know anything they're asking you to call Dickson Police.
