NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Metro-Nashville Public schools that were picked to take part in Disney's Musicals in Schools program have been announced.
They include Glengarry Elementary School; Hattie Cotton STEM Magnet Elementary School; Hull-Jackson Montessori Magnet School; Kirkpatrick Elementary Enhanced Option School; and Percy Priest Elementary School.
Auditions will be held in each school in January.
Disney has already developed its "Musicals in Schools" program in five New York City schools.
Nashville, specifically the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, was chosen out of dozens of applicant cities.
In New York, Disney pairs classroom teachers with a seasoned professional from the entertainment industry.
